Privacy Policy

Privacy policy — Umrah Your Way (Google Play & user data) This policy describes how Umrah Your Way ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our mobile app and related services. It is intended to align with Google Play User Data and Data safety requirements. Please read it alongside the Data safety form in Google Play Console — both should describe the same practices. 1. Data we collect and how we use it We collect data in the categories below for the purposes stated. We do not sell your personal data. • Account & identity: name, email, phone number where you provide them, and authentication data (e.g. tokens, session identifiers) — to create and secure your account, sign you in (including OTP where used), and provide the service. • Device & app: device type, operating system version, app version, language preferences, and push notification tokens where you enable notifications — to deliver notifications, compatibility updates, troubleshooting, and support. • Location (when used): approximate or precise location while the app is in use (and in background only if you grant that permission and we declare it) — for features that need it, such as prayer times, Qibla, and other Umrah- or location-related features as described in the app. • Usage & diagnostics: limited usage or diagnostic information and, where we use them, crash or error reporting or analytics (e.g. to improve stability and features). Specific tools may change over time; we use such data in aggregate or pseudonymous form where possible. • Payments & orders: when you subscribe or place orders (e.g. services, donations), payment is handled by third-party processors; we receive information needed to fulfil the transaction (e.g. status, identifiers), not your full card details stored on our servers where the processor holds them. 2. Health data Health and medical data: Umrah Your Way does not collect, process, or store health or medical information as defined under applicable health-privacy rules. Features such as Umrah journey steps, reminders, religious content, and in-app progress are religious or spiritual guidance and user experience inside the app — they are not medical or clinical records. If you declared health-related data types in Play Console without needing them, remove those declarations so they match this policy. 3. Data retention • Account data: retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period (see Deletion below), except where law requires retention. We may close or anonymise accounts that have been inactive for approximately 36 months after notice where permitted. • Server logs & analytics: typically retained for up to 90 days unless a longer period is needed for security, fraud prevention, or legal obligations. • Push tokens: removed or invalidated when you turn off notifications, log out, or delete your account, subject to short technical delay. • Backups: encrypted backups may retain copies for a limited period according to our backup rotation; personal data in backups is deleted or overwritten in line with the schedules above. Deletion: You may request account deletion via the support options in the app or by emailing support@umrahyourway.com. We will delete or anonymise personal data within approximately 30 days of a verified request, except where we must retain certain information to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. 4. Photos and media (Android) We do not request broad access to your photo library on Android to browse your existing images. Saving or sharing a certificate, image, or file generated in the app uses the system share sheet or similar OS flows so you can save or share that content without the app reading your unrelated photos. 5. Sharing We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with service providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery, payment processors, analytics or crash reporting if used) only as needed to operate the app, under appropriate safeguards. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights and safety. 6. Security We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your credentials and device. 7. Your rights & choices You can update certain account details in the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us as below. You can withdraw consent where processing is consent-based (e.g. optional notifications). 8. Legal bases & contact (EEA/UK users) If you are in the EEA or UK, we may rely on lawful bases such as: performance of a contract (providing the app and services); legitimate interests (security, improvement, support) where not overridden by your rights; consent where required (e.g. optional marketing or non-essential cookies); and legal obligation. Contact us for more detail or to exercise rights. • Data controller: Umrah Your Way (operator of the Umrah Your Way application). If your app is published under a different registered legal entity, ensure that entity name and address are consistent in Play Console, this policy, and your contracts. • Privacy contact: support@umrahyourway.com and the support options in the app. 9. International transfers If we transfer data outside your country, we use appropriate safeguards where required by law (e.g. standard contractual clauses). 10. Children The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so. 11. Changes We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL and, for material changes, notify you via the app or email where appropriate. The "last updated" notion is the date shown when we publish changes. 12. Play Console checklist Host this policy at a stable HTTPS URL, enter the same URL in Google Play → App content → Privacy policy, align the Data safety form with this policy (do not declare categories you do not collect), and remove Health data types in Play if you do not actually collect health data. For privacy-related questions or requests, use the support options in the app or email support@umrahyourway.com.
